Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active COTA license in the state of California
  • Recent experience in a school-based setting, ideally at the elementary level
  • Background in adapting therapeutic activities for students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication skills with educators and families
  • Ability to effectively document therapy sessions and progress
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy plans in partnership with supervising OT
  • Help students develop fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
  • Collaborate with teachers to support classroom participation and accessibility
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to the educational team
  • Contribute to IEP meetings as needed and ensure compliance with school protocols
  • Adapt activities and interventions based on evolving student needs
