Exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to make a meaningful impact in educational settings near Rillito, AZ! This full-time, full school year, contract position offers the chance to work across approximately three school sites, serving students with a range of needs from mild to severe.
As an integral part of the special education support team, you'll collaborate closely with supervising Occupational Therapists to help students access their education and build skills essential for their success. The district provides professional supervision, ensuring you have guidance and support in your work.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver occupational therapy services at multiple school locations as an itinerant COTA
- Support students with varying needs, helping them develop fine motor, sensory, and functional living skills
- Work with educators, families, and other allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student IEP development
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide spectrum of learning and functional levels
Desired Background:
- Current and valid COTA license in Arizona
- Eligible for and able to maintain an active IVP Fingerprint Card
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple sites and with diverse student populations
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
