Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Ringgold, VA

Contribute your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a vibrant school setting near the Virginia-North Carolina border. Just outside of Danville and only 1.5 hours south of Roanoke, this contract opportunity is ideal for professionals ready to make an immediate impact with a full-time K-12 caseload through the end of the school year. Collaborate closely with two virtual Occupational Therapists and play an instrumental role in supporting students' development and success.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy, including work with K-12 students
• Comfortable collaborating with remote OTs through virtual platforms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to diverse age groups and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of K-12 students under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists
• Support the implementation of IEPs and related therapy goals within the educational environment
• Document sessions, progress, and outcomes accurately and in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Communicate regularly with school staff and the supervising OTs to ensure coordinated and effective care for each student
• Help create and maintain an engaging, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all learners
