School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Ringgold, Virginia

This full-time assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful difference from ASAP through the end of the school year, working a consistent 37.5 hours per week.

As a valued member of the school community, you’ll provide hands-on support to a diverse K-12 student caseload. You’ll also collaborate closely with two expert virtual Occupational Therapists (OTs), ensuring students have access to comprehensive care and interventions throughout their educational journey.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid COTA licensure in Virginia (or eligibility)
• Experience or comfort in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and goal tracking
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
• Ability to work independently, while collaborating with virtual OTs and on-site staff
• Adaptable, organized, and passionate about supporting student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students under OT supervision
• Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
• Assist with assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation for student needs
• Engage with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success in the classroom
• Maintain accurate records in line with district documentation standards
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and proactive therapy environment
