Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active COTA certification.
  • Previous experience working within a school environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Capable of collaborating with occupational therapists and educators to deliver optimal support.
  • Organized, flexible, and committed to providing outstanding care to diverse student populations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising occupational therapist.
  • Support students’ participation in classroom activities by addressing motor, sensory, and daily living skill needs.
  • Accurately document student progress and communicate with therapy and teaching teams.
  • Assist with developing and updating treatment plans based on IEP goals.
  • Contribute to meetings and consultation with school personnel and families regarding student development.
  • Help organize and facilitate group sessions and classroom-based interventions.
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet the needs of each student.
