This role is a backfill position covering a leave, with the assignment expected to last through the Christmas break—and potentially into mid-January. With a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week, you'll have the chance to make a lasting, positive impact on young students during their formative years.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
  • Ability to collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educators
  • Adaptability and creativity in supporting diverse student needs in an elementary school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory processing, and functional school skills
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Document progress and communicate updates with the school team
  • Provide group and one-on-one interventions that foster greater participation in school activities
