This full-time, on-site opportunity covers a dedicated zone in the southwest Houston area, tailored to minimize your commute while maximizing student support. Work directly with a collaborative team and help shape meaningful outcomes for students ages 3–21, drawing on your deep experience in pediatrics or school settings.
What You Bring:
- Active Texas COTA licensure (required)
- Extensive school-based or pediatric COTA experience (minimum of several years)
- Strong documentation skills using platforms such as SHARES and Onward, as well as Excel for IEP management
- Capacity to manage a rotating caseload, balancing consults and direct services for approximately 70 students (30–40 receiving direct intervention)
- History of effective collaboration with OTs, special educators, and ARD committee participation
- Ability to adapt scheduling for services on various intervals (weekly, biweekly, etc.)
- Fingerprints on file with Texas districts (or willingness to complete required background checks)
- Professionalism and a commitment to excellence—note: district will not consider former employees
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding occupational therapy services alongside an OT, ensuring students’ IEP goals are met
- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide insightful input during ARD meetings
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in required school health software and Excel logs
- Effectively manage travel and scheduling across assigned schools within your designated area
