Step into a dynamic contract role supporting K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a specialized educational setting. Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois COTA license required (must be submitted at the time of application; verify license status online).
  • Experience supporting students in school settings, preferably with knowledge of special education needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable working onsite and adapting to varying caseloads and grade levels.
  • Commitment to professional growth and participation in new hire orientation (August 12th–14th).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students with diverse needs, following individualized education plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Support students’ development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success.
  • Accurately document sessions and progress in keeping with district, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Engage in professional development and ongoing communication to contribute to program goals.

Role Details and Perks:

  • Full-time, onsite position: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm, with low and manageable caseload.
  • Start dates are tentative for the 2026–2027 school year.
