Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-12 students with their functional and academic growth as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a contract basis. You’ll be collaborating with a dynamic educational team and providing hands-on support to students of various ages and abilities, helping them achieve their goals throughout the school year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Maine state licensure or eligibility
  • Prior experience with school-based occupational therapy services preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and support services to students across K-12 populations, as outlined in their IEPs
  • Implement and adapt therapeutic activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to help students access their curriculum and daily routines
  • Document daily interventions, track progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and participate in ongoing student assessments
