Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Current licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic environments
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapeutic services to students as specified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement intervention plans focused on enhancing students' motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in school activities
  • Accurately document students’ progress and maintain relevant records
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support generalization of skills within classroom and school settings
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences as needed
