School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - San Jose, California

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active California COTA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, following the supervising Occupational Therapist’s treatment plans
• Support students in developing daily living and fine motor skills
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Engage with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure effective therapy strategies are integrated throughout the school environment
• Assist in assessments, data collection, and implementation of individualized goals
