Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Valid COTA certification and active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience preferred in a school, pediatric, or clinical setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassion for students and a commitment to their success
• Ability to follow treatment plans developed by supervising Occupational Therapists

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy interventions designed to enhance students’ participation in school activities
• Support individualized education plan (IEP) goals under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Document therapy sessions, progress, and observations regularly
• Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and other school staff
• Adapt and modify activities and environments to promote student independence
• Attend department meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
