An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support within a school setting in Santa Clara, CA. This short-term contract position offers a full-time schedule with 7.7 hours per day, designed to cover a 9-week maternity leave starting at the end of January or early February. The role involves working across four school sites, including two primary and two middle schools, managing a caseload of 57 students with diverse occupational therapy needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across multiple school sites
  • Implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with occupational therapists and educational staff
  • Monitor and document student progress while adjusting interventions as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations related to occupational therapy services

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably with both primary and middle school populations
  • Ability to manage a sizable caseload efficiently while ensuring quality care
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Location: Santa Clara, California
Contract Duration: 9 weeks, short-term maternity leave coverage
