School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Santa Cruz, California

This role is designed for individuals passionate about helping students reach their full potential. You’ll work three days per week, from 8:15 AM to 2:40 PM, delivering dedicated support in collaboration with Occupational Therapists to foster skills development and promote student independence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Ability to collaborate with OTs and adapt to various school environments
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Flexibility and a supportive, team-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services under the supervision of Occupational Therapists
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within school settings
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and document student progress
• Travel to multiple district sites as needed, offering consistent services across the caseload
• Communicate regularly with supervising OTs and educational staff to ensure cohesive student care
