Make a real impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work hands-on across multiple school sites, providing essential services to students from Pre-K through age 22 in a dynamic educational environment.

You’ll rotate between elementary, middle, and high schools, adapting your day to different schedules and caseload needs. Desired Background:

  • Current, active clinical license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active educator license through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Strongly prefer candidates with previous school-based COTA experience
  • Must complete required fingerprinting before onboarding
  • Ability to adapt quickly between multiple school locations and manage a flexible caseload across a broad age range (Pre-K through transition students up to age 22)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with students, teachers, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction of Occupational Therapists within assigned schools
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student IEP goals through both direct and consultative services
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment to maximize student participation and independence
  • Travel between various school sites as assigned, with full days of 35-37.5 hours each week
