Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA certification and active Washington state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and principles
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
  • Collaborative mindset for working closely with OTs, educators, families, and other support staff

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in providing direct and indirect services to students, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Work one-on-one and in group sessions, using evidence-based interventions to promote motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
  • Maintain accurate notes and progress reports according to school guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning and goal tracking
  • Adapt activities and classroom environments to support inclusion and student participation
  • Educate students, families, and staff on strategies and adaptive equipment as necessary
