This assignment will begin tentatively around February 16th, 2027, and extend through May 14th, 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference in school communities. Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in South Carolina
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatrics strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability to support students across multiple school locations
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with one of the district’s Occupational Therapists, providing therapy at assigned elementary schools
- Deliver direct treatment sessions to 9–10 students per day, typically in 30-minute increments
- Implement IEP goals and therapy plans, maintaining accurate documentation for each session
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families, contributing to the students’ progress and well-being
- Travel between multiple school sites as assigned during the contract period
