Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid COTA certification required
- Current state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desired
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student-focused interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists with the implementation of individualized student treatment plans
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to facilitate effective interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress
- Contribute to IEP meetings and help shape measurable goals for each student
- Encourage a positive, inclusive learning environment where each student’s unique abilities are celebrated
