Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Organizational skills and adaptability in changing school environments
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized occupational therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Work with students in group and one-on-one settings, focusing on developing fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Track and report student progress, documenting sessions in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and parents to identify student needs and strategies
- Support the ongoing development of creative, engaging therapy resources for classroom integration
