Preferred qualifications include:

  • Valid certification and license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly valued.
  • Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and adaptability.
  • Ability to implement therapeutic interventions based on individualized education plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Work closely with educators and families to support students’ participation, independence, and skill-building.
  • Assist with assessment data collection and maintain meticulous documentation of student progress.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding student needs, accommodations, and classroom modifications.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in developing goals aligned with students' unique strengths and challenges.
