This full-time COTA position offers the opportunity to work within an elementary school environment serving students from preschool through 8th grade. Based in Stamford, CT, the role is a contract assignment spanning a full semester, with a focus on delivering occupational therapy services in school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students ranging from preschool to 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Utilize an itinerant service delivery model, traveling between assigned schools as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support planning
Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Ability to manage multiple cases and effectively coordinate with school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, approximately 35 hours per week, including itinerant responsibilities
