Make a meaningful impact supporting students from PreK through 12th grade by providing essential occupational therapy services across multiple campuses in the Port St. Lucie area. This contract role is ideal for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for school-based practice who is ready to start as soon as possible and continue through early June 2027.

What you will bring:

  • Valid and active FL DOH OTA license (required)
  • Recent experience as a COTA, ideally within a school setting
  • Ability to support and collaborate with students, teachers, and staff from PreK through high school
  • Compliance with fingerprinting and district credentialing requirements (prior AHCA Clearinghouse clearance a plus)
  • Willingness to travel between 3-5 assigned schools (locations within the Port St. Lucie area to be determined)

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site occupational therapy support to students in grades PreK-12th as outlined in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with an interprofessional team including teachers, therapists, and administrators to foster student success
  • Document and report progress, making data-driven recommendations for therapy plans
  • Deliver both direct therapy services and consultative support in the educational environment
  • Travel to multiple school sites throughout the week to meet caseload needs
