Embrace an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy support across multiple campuses in the southwest Houston area. As a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist and deliver compassionate, high-quality services for students aged 3-21.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Texas COTA license and active credentialing in good standing.
  • Minimum of several years of experience in a school-based or heavy pediatric setting.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with technology, including documentation using SHARES, Onward, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel between 6-7 schools within an assigned zone matched to your ZIP code.
  • Must not have previously been employed by the district.
  • Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting if not already on record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and support ARD meetings as needed.
  • Maintain a balanced caseload (approximately 70 total, with 30-40 direct service students) following rotating service schedules.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and document IEP goals.
  • Deliver consultation and direct therapy services with a focus on student growth and inclusion.
  • Manage and update documentation using school software systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Organize schedules to ensure equitable and efficient support across assigned campuses.

This full-time, on-site contract role begins in August 2026 and runs through the end of May 2027, following school hours (typically 8:00-4:00 or 7:30-3:30).
