Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active COTA certification
- Licensed (or eligibility for licensure) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and other school staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ academic and functional skill development
- Document student progress and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in team meetings and communicate with stakeholders regarding student needs and progress
- Ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations
