Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Active COTA certification in California
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement individualized intervention plans for students
- Provide direct therapy services, utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote student independence
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory requirements
- Educate staff and families on therapeutic strategies to support student development across settings
- Contribute to IEP meetings and support multidisciplinary planning
