Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid COTA license or eligibility in North Carolina
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare COTA settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of school documentation, therapy planning, and IEP goals
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, educators, and families
  • Adaptable and creative in delivering therapy tailored to student needs
  • Able to work effectively both independently and within a team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions for a caseload of approximately 20 students, following established goals and plans
  • Collaborate with lead Occupational Therapists, teachers, and special education staff to integrate therapy into the school day
  • Track student progress, adapt activities, and actively participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Maintain up-to-date, compliant documentation of all therapy activities and student outcomes
  • Support a positive, inclusive school culture that empowers student independence and participation
  • Communicate regularly with families and guardians to share student progress and provide at-home strategies
