Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Tacoma, WA

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as required
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is a plus
• Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication abilities with students, staff, and families
• Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students based on individual educational plans
• Support fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development to maximize independence in the classroom
• Document student progress and response to interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Assist with the development and adjustment of occupational therapy plans
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
