Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current COTA licensure in Washington (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric therapy preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of timely documentation

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement therapeutic interventions and support students under the guidance of an OT
  • Assist with IEP planning and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Work directly with students to foster fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Track student progress and assist in data collection for ongoing assessment
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities
