Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Ability to follow treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to handle caseload efficiently
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OT Assistant in Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students meet educational and developmental goals
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Record and update student progress through accurate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for goal setting and progress
  • Adapt activities or materials to meet individual student needs within classroom and therapy settings
  • Support inclusive practices and student participation across environments
