Step into an impactful role supporting students during a key transition period as a contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based setting. This full-time opportunity supports a maternity leave and gives you the chance to collaborate closely with an experienced Occupational Therapist across several elementary schools. Each day offers direct interaction with 9-10 students, primarily through half-hour sessions, emphasizing personalized pediatric care in a friendly and supportive environment.

This contract is set to begin tentatively around February 16th, 2027, and extend through May 14th, 2027, for the remainder of the school year. With a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, you’ll be based at a selection of elementary schools, partnering with dedicated educators and therapists to deliver high-quality services.

Your background should include:

  • Active South Carolina COTA license (required)
  • Experience within school settings or pediatric populations strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt to varying student needs across multiple school sites
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work in tandem with an Occupational Therapist assigned by the district
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions to a consistent caseload
  • Travel between designated elementary schools as needed for service delivery
  • Document progress and craft relevant materials to support student development
  • Contribute to individualized education plans and multidisciplinary meetings
