Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric setting
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development as required by local and state guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Conduct therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ academic and developmental requirements
- Monitor, document, and communicate students’ progress, supporting goal adjustment in partnership with the OT
- Engage with educators, parents, and administrators to promote student achievement
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with district and state procedures
- Participate in training and professional growth activities to uphold best practices
