Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric setting
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development as required by local and state guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Conduct therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ academic and developmental requirements
  • Monitor, document, and communicate students’ progress, supporting goal adjustment in partnership with the OT
  • Engage with educators, parents, and administrators to promote student achievement
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with district and state procedures
  • Participate in training and professional growth activities to uphold best practices
