What We’re Looking For:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Understanding of IEPs and education-based therapy approaches
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Solid organizational skills with a solution-focused mindset
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Passion to empower children and adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans in the school setting
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy interventions to students
- Assist with evaluations and documentation in accordance with school district guidelines and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, other professionals, and families to maximize student achievement
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward established goals
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to help students succeed in their academic environment
