Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations is highly valued

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Active licensure (or eligibility) for Hawaii

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of individualized education plans under the direction of Occupational Therapists
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to facilitate students’ participation in the classroom
  • Assist in documenting student progress and preparing reports as needed
  • Utilize creative, engaging techniques to support therapy goals
  • Help students with activities of daily living, fine motor skills, self-regulation, and adaptive behavior
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development
