Embark on an exciting school-based therapy opportunity! We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – or, if qualified and interested, an Occupational Therapist (OT) – to support a district-wide caseload of students in Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract position starts August 27, 2026, aligning with the school year, and initially covers a 12-week FMLA maternity leave. Please note: while there is strong potential for extension, commitment to a maternity leave assignment is essential, as the contract is guaranteed only for the leave dates.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Active Connecticut COTA license (CT DPH & NBCOT) or active Connecticut OT license
  • Prefer previous experience in a school-based setting
  • Comfortable collaborating with education teams and working with diverse student abilities
  • Reliable transportation to serve students district-wide
  • Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Delivering occupational therapy services across district sites to a wide range of student ages and learning needs
  • Supporting and implementing treatment plans, documenting student progress, and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Engaging with students, families, and school staff to promote student growth and development
  • COTAs will work under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, consistent with regulatory guidelines
  • Flexibly adapting to district needs with approximately 7–7.5 hours per day (final schedule will be confirmed by the district)

You’ll enjoy a meaningful, supportive role working alongside experienced educators and therapists. Experience the rewards of helping students succeed in a collaborative school environment.

Ready to make a difference? If you’re an adaptable, collaborative COTA or OT excited for a temporary but potentially extended position, submit your application today. You could contribute valuable skills to an enthusiastic district and gain diverse experience with students across all grade levels!

Compensation for this position ranges from $23.23 to $43.23. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
