Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois COTA license required (please submit proof with your application)
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families
- Comfort adapting to varied caseloads and settings across grades K-12
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT to assist students in achieving their IEP goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in new hire orientation (August 12-14) and mandatory meetings as scheduled
- Work directly with a diverse population, adjusting strategies to meet unique student needs
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute insight into student plans and progress
- Offer support during daily routines, classroom activities, and specialized programs as needed
Perks & Details:
- Stable, school-based schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Full-time assignment (35 hours/week) throughout the 26’-27’ academic year
- Caseload is expected to remain low, allowing you to focus on high-quality services and relationship-building with students
