An exciting contract opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is available, working with students in grades 6 through 12. The position is based in a supportive school environment where collaborative teamwork and dedication to student progress are highly valued.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA certification, licensed to practice as required.
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred, particularly with adolescents.
  • Strong understanding of supporting students with diverse needs, including implementing IEP goals.
  • Effective communication and organization skills to partner with occupational therapists, teachers, and families.
  • Ability to adapt practices and interventions for growth and engagement across middle and high school students.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy support to 6th–12th grade students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist in delivering interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and classroom functional skills.
  • Collaborate actively with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into students’ daily routines.
  • Document progress, maintain student records, and prepare reports as needed for meetings and compliance.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for developing student plans.
