Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT). Beginning August 27, 2026, you'll embark on a 12-week assignment covering a maternity leave with strong potential for extension. This district-wide position offers the chance to collaborate with diverse educational teams as you enhance student independence, fine motor skills, and access to learning.

Key requirements for this role:

  • Active Connecticut COTA license or Connecticut OT license (CT DPH / NBCOT certification)
  • Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation to travel between schools within the district
  • Comfortable with a temporary maternity leave assignment, with high likelihood—but no guarantee—of extension
  • Ability to engage a broad range of student ages and needs

Your impact will include:

  • Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (for COTA candidates) to implement individualized treatment plans
  • Providing direct therapy to students with a wide variety of disabilities and educational challenges
  • Documenting interventions, assessing student progress, and tailoring services to support success
  • Collaborating closely with general and special education staff, parents, and support personnel
  • Flexibly serving across different schools as part of a cohesive therapy team
