A unique contract opportunity awaits a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with expertise in school-based settings. An anticipated need has opened up for a floating COTA during the next school year, serving PreK through 12th grade students. This position offers the chance to work across multiple sites, enriching your professional experience and allowing you to make a meaningful impact with a diverse caseload.

Key Details:

  • Academic year commitment, starting September 3, 2026 and concluding June 24, 2027
  • Approximately 29 hours per week, with potential adjustment to 30 hours pending confirmation
  • Caseload numbers are to be determined, ensuring flexibility for a candidate eager to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments
  • Service locations include weekly time spent at three distinct educational centers, introducing variety to your routine

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Previous school-based experience highly preferred
  • Comfort and adaptability working with students from preschool through high school
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy support services to students as directed by supervising staff
  • Travel between assigned locations to meet students’ needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support IEP or 504 plans
  • Accurately document interventions and progress
  • Participate in team meetings as required
