Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • NBCOT certification
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in occupational therapy, preferably with a focus on school or pediatric settings
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Willingness to complete continuing education credits and ongoing professional development as required by the state and district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students
  • Implement targeted therapeutic activities and interventions to enhance students’ educational experiences
  • Observe, document, and report progress, working closely with the OT to adapt intervention strategies
  • Engage with educators, administrators, and families to ensure a comprehensive support network for students
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date records in line with all state and district guidelines
  • Actively participate in professional learning opportunities to stay informed of best practices in the field
