Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Whitehall, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Active COTA licensure and certification, with eligibility to practice in the state
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in school or pediatric settings
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate interventions
• Ability to manage a growing caseload—starting around 30 students, increasing to approximately 50 by year's end
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and other specialists
• Adaptable, organized, and compassionate approach to supporting diverse student needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to preschool and childcare students in Bethlehem, PA and Stroudsburg, PA locations
• Conduct assessments, participate in team meetings, and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Develop and implement activities to help students improve fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school participation skills
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with staff and families
• Collaborate with teachers and other therapists to provide creative, effective interventions within the classroom environment

Position Details:

• Contract assignment from August 18, 2026, to July 30, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Daily schedule: 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM
• Diverse caseload working with young children in multiple educational settings
