In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with occupational therapists, educators, and families to deliver engaging therapy services. Your caseload will consist of 35 to 40 students, ensuring a diverse and rewarding experience. This position begins on July 30, 2026, and runs through May 20, 2027, totaling 30 hours each week—an ideal schedule for those seeking work-life balance while having a positive community impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Prior experience working in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy interventions to individual student needs
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to fostering student growth
Role & Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans as directed by supervising Occupational Therapists
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and teachers to report progress and offer strategies
- Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
