Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • California state license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a variety of needs, implementing individualized therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Assist with assessments, goal-setting, and delivery of therapeutic interventions
  • Track student progress and document sessions according to school and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school atmosphere
