Step into a rewarding school-based counselor role supporting students across elementary to secondary grade levels. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a positive impact working district-wide while minimizing travel, as sessions will be scheduled on the same campus each day. With flexible scheduling—2 days per week, 8 hours each day—you’ll engage directly with students, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges.
The anticipated start date is the week of August 17, though it may shift to the week of September 7 depending on the new budget, and will extend through the week of May 17, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required
- Direct experience in school counseling
- Proven ability to work effectively with students with disabilities, including emotional disabilities, autism, and intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions for students across various grade levels
- Provide targeted support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights related to student emotional and behavioral health
- Maintain detailed records while protecting student confidentiality
