Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field
- Relevant state licensure or certification for school social work or counseling
- Experience providing direct counseling services to K–12 students
- Solid understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral interventions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students experiencing adjustment difficulties
- Serve as a resource to staff and families, offering consultation and crisis support when needed
- Help create a supportive and inclusive school climate
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP, 504, or intervention team meetings as assigned
