Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field
• Relevant state licensure or certification for school social work or counseling
• Experience providing direct counseling services to K–12 students
• Solid understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral interventions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies for students experiencing adjustment difficulties
• Serve as a resource to staff and families, offering consultation and crisis support when needed
• Help create a supportive and inclusive school climate
• Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
• Participate in IEP, 504, or intervention team meetings as assigned
