This full-time position spans the upcoming school year, where you'll play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting high school students as they navigate their academic journeys.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized academic counseling to high school students, focusing on educational planning, college and career readiness, and personal development.
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive environments that foster student success.
• Implementing and monitoring student intervention plans and academic progress.
• Leading small group sessions and participating in school-wide initiatives centered around student well-being.
• Maintaining detailed and confidential records in compliance with district and legal guidelines.

Desired qualifications:

• Hold an active Michigan education certificate with a School Counselor Endorsement. Please ensure your license and certifications are current and included with your application.
• Previous experience as a school counselor or in roles supporting high school-aged youth is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, outreach, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
