Desired Background & Required Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Valid Texas School Counselor Certificate issued by SBEC, with one of the following licenses:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
- Experience serving as a counselor within a school environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support students with special education needs
- Strong collaboration, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities You’ll Take On:
- Provide individual and group counseling for K-12 students, addressing academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Conduct behavior threat assessments and collaborate with administration regarding student safety
