Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Active Colorado School Counseling license required
  • Previous experience supporting middle and/or high school students preferred
  • Strong foundation in individual and group counseling practices
  • Ability to assist students with coping strategies, problem-solving, and meeting graduation requirements
  • Collaborative mindset, especially in educational and multidisciplinary team settings
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate individual and group sessions for students to address their academic, personal, and emotional needs
  • Assist in developing coping mechanisms and resilience in daily school life
  • Support students in course selection and appropriate academic planning toward graduation
  • Partner with educators, administrators, and SPED teams to support student development
  • Contribute to meetings focused on aligning student support plans
  • Monitor progress and maintain thorough documentation to uphold best practices
