Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed or certified as a School Adjustment Counselor, School Counselor, or Social Worker (as required by state regulations)
  • Experience working in a K-12 school environment
  • Ability to design, implement, and evaluate student support plans
  • Strong collaboration abilities with school staff and parents
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver counseling services to students addressing academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Develop and facilitate small group or individual sessions for targeted student support
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create and monitor individualized plans
  • Maintain detailed, confidential student records and progress documentation
  • Intervene in crisis situations and provide referrals to community resources as needed
  • Support a positive, inclusive school climate and promote student well-being
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for students’ needs
