Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid license or certification required for school-based counseling or social work
  • Previous experience working as a School Counselor, Adjustment Counselor, or Social Worker in educational settings
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized plans for students in need of emotional or behavioral support
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and student-centered approaches
  • Compassionate, proactive, and adaptable attitude

Primary Duties:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure effective support strategies
  • Assist with crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention when necessary
  • Develop, implement, and monitor student adjustment plans
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of a positive school climate
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress
  • Support students’ social and emotional growth in alignment with school policies and state guidelines
