Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid license or certification required for school-based counseling or social work
- Previous experience working as a School Counselor, Adjustment Counselor, or Social Worker in educational settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans for students in need of emotional or behavioral support
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and student-centered approaches
- Compassionate, proactive, and adaptable attitude
Primary Duties:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure effective support strategies
- Assist with crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention when necessary
- Develop, implement, and monitor student adjustment plans
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress
- Support students’ social and emotional growth in alignment with school policies and state guidelines
