School Counselor - Conroe, TX

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a school counselor for a contract position based near Conroe, TX. In this role, you'll assist elementary and middle school students across multiple campuses, providing tailored counseling services to promote student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Texas
• Experience with K-8 student populations preferred
• Ability to manage caseloads across multiple campuses
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organizational ability to effectively balance short-term interventions and ongoing student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct counseling and guidance to a diverse caseload (approximately 30 students) across elementary and middle school levels
• Provide short-term interventions to address academic, personal, and social issues
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
• Participate in meetings regarding individualized student support plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per district and state requirements
• Support students through transitions and developmental challenges
• Uphold and model ethical and professional conduct at all times

This contract opportunity begins August 12, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2027; you'll be scheduled for up to 16 hours weekly with some flexibility to accommodate campus needs and student schedules.
