Step into a meaningful contract opportunity where you’ll make a real impact as a school counselor, providing support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Covering maternity leaves through December, you’ll collaborate directly onsite with a diverse student body and a dedicated school community. This full-time position runs from August 3rd, 2026 through December 18th, 2026, with standard weekday hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You will be responsible for a caseload of 75-85 students and will support the school’s behavioral threat assessments as part of your daily role. Two positions are available — a valuable chance to broaden your experience and work alongside other passionate professionals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Active Texas School Counselor Certificate from SBEC; accepted licenses include:
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
    • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
  • Background working with students in K-12 settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive counseling services for students across all grade levels (K-12)
  • Conduct behavioral threat assessments and recommend action plans
  • Provide guidance and support to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or personal challenges
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to create supportive interventions
  • Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to ethical practices
