Step into a rewarding school-based counseling role providing vital ERMHS (Educationally Related Mental Health Services) support at multiple sites near Daly City, CA. This contract opportunity covers the 2026–2027 academic year, and candidates will serve an itinerant caseload from Early Childhood through Transition age groups across up to three school sites. As a valued partner in a diverse student community, you’ll deliver culturally responsive mental health services in Spanish.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English (fluency required for both counseling and documentation).
- Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); candidates must have a current, verifiable BBS number.
- Licensed or associate-level clinicians considered (AMFT, ASW, APCC) actively accruing hours toward licensure (supervision arrangement needed).
- Minimum of a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or closely aligned field.
- Experience in school-based, itinerant, or districtwide mental health settings, particularly ERMHS, is highly desired.
- Completion of at least 3,000 hours of supervised experience (or in process, for associates).
- Strong working knowledge of California Law & Ethics and successful completion of relevant exams.
- Compliance with California Live Scan fingerprinting/background check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and mental health interventions to students ages EC-transition.
- Deliver culturally sensitive, bilingual services tailored to individual education and IEP plans.
- Work collaboratively with school teams and families to support student success.
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district, state, and legal requirements.
- Participate in supervision and professional development to further clinical expertise.
- Travel between multiple schools within the district as required.
