School Counselor - Denton, MD

Step into a vital role supporting students and families as a School Counselor for the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 10, 2026, to June 16, 2027, serving an elementary caseload of 350 students. The schedule follows a full-time format, Monday through Friday, with 7.5-hour shifts daily.

Your contributions will directly impact students' social, academic, and career development. You’ll spearhead individual and group career guidance activities focused on competencies, exploration, and informed decision-making. In addition, general educational planning and school transition activities—such as orientations and assisting with five-year study plans—are a pivotal part of your work.

Your expertise will also shine as you help students and their families navigate post-secondary educational options. You’ll guide through topics like college or technical school applications, host informative presentations, and support standardized test preparation including SAT and PSAT. Monthly evening counseling sessions offer parents meaningful resources, through both private appointments and group initiatives.
