Take your expertise in behavioral intervention to the next level by supporting students as a dedicated Behavior Intervention Specialist. Located in the vibrant community near Frisco, TX, this contract opportunity allows you to have a meaningful impact within a school setting, collaborating with educators and specialists to create positive student outcomes.

Candidates will work full time (37.5 hours/week), engaging directly with students, classrooms, and multidisciplinary teams. Your experience in SPED, behavior analysis, or mental health will be highly valued as you develop, implement, and monitor supports tailored to individual student needs.

Ideal qualifications and experience include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certification, with Special Education (SPED) endorsements
  • Prior experience in special education, counseling, social work, psychology, or related roles
  • Background as a school counselor, LPC, BCBA, or Registered Behavior Technician preferred
  • Strong understanding of functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Ability to collaborate in ARD, IEP, RTI, and 504 meetings

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and support Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and collect relevant behavioral data
  • Participate actively in ARD, IEP, RTI, and 504 meetings as a behavioral expert
  • Serve as a resource for intervention strategies and crisis response in classrooms
  • Work collaboratively with staff to create supportive learning environments for all students

Compensation starts at $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
