Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Counselor
• Experience working in school settings, preferably K-12
• Comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent development
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to create and present guidance lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, college/career planning, and social skills
• Compassionate, professional demeanor with a commitment to equity and inclusion

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address student academic concerns, behavioral issues, and personal growth
• Develop and implement school-wide programs that promote positive mental health and resilience
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ educational success and well-being
• Identify at-risk students and connect them with appropriate resources or interventions
• Facilitate crisis interventions and respond to urgent student needs sensitively and effectively
• Maintain accurate records in line with confidentiality and ethical guidelines
• Support school climate initiatives to ensure a safe, nurturing environment
